I.T PLATFORM, CLOUD HOSTING & SECURITY
All user personal information, user uploaded files, and transactions are processed via the Vasto Educator, Vasto Software Pty Limited.
Vasto Educator is written in the languages of PHP, JAVA, CSS3 & HTML5. Vasto Educator makes extensive use of Ajax. At the backend are a series of Amazon RDS databases.
All user-uploaded files (including learning material, student-submitted assignments & assessable content) are stored in Amazon S3 cloud storage.
The Vasto Educator platform is hosted on enterprise level Amazon Elastic Computer Cloud (EC2) services – physically from the Sydney, Australia Availability Zone.
Vasto Educator developers use best-practice coding techniques and perform continuous in-house vulnerability testing. Live monitoring enables Vasto Educator to be aware of the health of the network and system to ensure they are proactive in dealing with any issue before they impact users.
All electronic financial transactions are processed via Vasto Educator, where information is protected by encryption technology. Financial transactions are administered by NAB and Zip. We will share information with these payment gateways only to the extent necessary for the purpose of processing payments you make via the Vasto system via our website, refunding such payments and managing complaints and queries relating to such payments and refunds.
All data transactions are protected by SSL certificates. Vasto Educator performs anti-spam, anti-virus and intrusion identification and prevention software products continuously.
You are responsible for keeping your password and username confidential to the Vasto Educator software confidential.
Security of your personal information
We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse of alteration of your personal information.
You acknowledge that the transmission of information over the internet can be insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.
