Esteem Academy
Key Milestones
Maria Gambaro, the CEO and Founder of the Esteem Group had an ambition early in her career, to create the number one Medi Spa in Australia. In 2004, in collaboration with one of Australia’s leading plastic surgeons, Dr Terrence Scamp, a new concept in the marketplace was established – the Esteem Medi Spa Group.
From the outset, Maria Gambaro and Dr Terrence Scamp set the industry benchmark in providing scientifically proven modalities that delivered real results, made accessible to the everyday consumer. To ensure a consistently high standard of service delivery, Dr Terrence Scamp personally trained all service providers in the brand and guided them through the intricacies and complications that were ever-present in the industry. This unique and advanced cosmetic injectables course equipped clinicians with the confidence and abilities to educate their clients, deliver optimal results and be experts within their fields.

After being in the industry for over a decade, Maria Gambaro and Dr Terrence Scamp recognised the absence of quality training and education in the cosmetic aesthetic industry. In 2016, Maria and Dr Terrence Scamp founded the Esteem Institute of Cosmetic Aesthetics. The training organisation’s mission was to educate and train individuals to the highest level of competency and in turn, to supply the anti-ageing and beauty industries with the most highly qualified and skilled doctors, nurses and clinicians, each with the ability to enhance people’s lives and to raise their self-esteem.
Since inception, the Esteem Institute of Cosmetic Aesthetics has trained thousands of laser, dermal and cosmetic clinicians to advance their professional development and careers.
In a short 6 years, the Esteem Institute of Cosmetic Aesthetics had evolved in the cosmetic aesthetic industry and had firmly established a reputation for providing industry-leading medi-aesthetic education. In 2022, the Esteem Institute of Cosmetic Aesthetics began an expansion plan and re-branded as the Esteem Academy. Possessing the same ideologies and expanding its team of Educators, Support Staff, Management and course offerings, the Esteem Academy is committed to providing quality cosmetic courses and education within the continually evolving cosmetic aesthetic industry, no matter what stage in your career you may be in.
